REMINDER ALERT: Disability Representative Organisations and Community Organisations to respond to Federal Budget and present 14,000-signature NDIS petition
People with Disability Australia
A group of Disability Representative Organisations (DROs) will hold a press conference this morning, Wednesday 13 May, in the Senate Courtyard at Parliament House to provide first reactions to the 2026–27 Federal Budget and its impact on people with disability.
People with Disability Australia (PWDA) will also present its Change.org petition, signed by more than 14,000 people, to Senator Jordon Steele-John. The petition calls on the Government to stop cuts to the NDIS and protect essential supports.
Following that, ACOSS and other community organisations, including Single Mother Families Alliance, Consumers Health Forum, Oz Harvest will comment on the Federal Budget
