RFSA MEMBERS IN TOP GEAR AT FAMILY DAY

Rural Fire Service volunteers (RFS) were celebrated at a Family Day at the award-winning The Depot car museum in Deniliquin on Sunday.

 

The Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) provided a free lunch and entry to The Depot for volunteers and their families providing some well-deserved R&R for members.

 

The Depot boasts a historic vehicle and memorabilia collection, including family-friendly interactive displays and activities for visitors.

 

RFSA President Scott Campbell said Family Days not only recognised the immense value of volunteers but were an important way of acknowledging families for their support of RFS firefighters.

 

“It was great to catch up and celebrate RFS volunteers and their families ahead of what could be a busy summer,” Mr Campbell said.

 

“The Family Days are one way the RFSA says thank you to firefighters and their families for the enormous sacrifices they make for our communities.

                                                                                                                         

“The RFSA exists to support members who give their time and energy to help our communities in what can be the among the most challenging days of their lives.”

 

The RFSA Family Day on Sunday 20 September at The Depot will run from 10am to 3pm.
