- The collection is available for pre-order now via roddandgunn.com/au/afl ahead of the national retail launch on 1st July.
Rodd & Gunn has entered the world of Australian Rules Football, unveiling a limited-edition AFL capsule collection. 18 teams, 18 colours, 2 designs… Footy's Back in Fashion.
Launching nationally through Rodd & Gunn + department store exclusive with MYER, the range reimagines supporter wear through a premium lifestyle lens, bringing together sport, fashion and culture in a way rarely seen within the category.
For more than 80 years, Rodd & Gunn has celebrated sport, community, and craftsmanship, and this release marks the next chapter in that story, positioning club colours beyond game day and introducing the brand to a new generation of customers.
"Footy has always been about more than what happens on the field. It's community, identity and belonging. This collection is all about reimagining supporter wear through a distinctly Rodd & Gunn point of view and creating something people would be proud to wear well beyond game day,” said Mike Beagley, CEO at Rodd & Gunn.
"The range is about taking those values and expressing them through premium sportswear. We wanted to create something supporters would be proud to wear beyond the siren.”
To lead the campaign, Rodd & Gunn enlisted AFL great Tom Hawkins. A Geelong Cats legend, having built his career in Victoria while remaining deeply connected to his regional roots, Hawkins embodies the values of authenticity, longevity and community that sit at the heart of both AFL and the Rodd & Gunn brand.
Captured at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the campaign places football within the world of fashion, celebrating the rituals, personalities and pride that define the game."I've spent my life around football, but this was a completely different experience," said Hawkins.
"What I loved about the concept is it respects the game and the supporters, while presenting it through a fresh aesthetic. It's something people can wear whether they're heading to the footy, spending time with family and friends or simply representing their club in everyday life.”
At the centre of the collection and crafted from pure Australian grown Good Earth Cotton is Rodd & Gunn's iconic Foresters Peak sweat, re-imagined across all eighteen AFL clubs. And, a fan favourite, The Otago Sweatshirt. The brand's renowned attention to detail balances heritage sportswear with contemporary design, creating an elevated take on supporter apparel for those on, and off the field.
Available for pre-order via Rodd & Gunn’s website now ahead of the national release on 1st July through MYER department stores and all Australian Rodd & Gunn boutiques, while stocks last.
