School's in: Bupa's Campus initiative to modernise learning and development
Bupa has launched its new Campus approach to learning and development, combining the best in online
A global initiative, Bupa Campus includes a purpose-built learning facility at Bupa’s Melbourne head office, with similar spaces at Bupa offices in London and Madrid. Equipped with the latest technologies, the facilities seamlessly interact with Bupa’s global digital learning platform, empowering its people to find, navigate, and experience learning offered through Bupa Campus.
Bupa APAC’s Acting Chief People Officer, Jim Nolan, said Bupa’s investment in learning and development is designed to build a learning culture that’s drives collaboration and innovation to support the transformational thinking now needed in healthcare.
“The healthcare sector is in a period of significant transition, driven by rapid medical and technological advancements across digital, data and AI,” Mr Nolan said.
“Bupa Campus is a significant investment in our people that will upskill them with the critical capabilities needed now and into the future. We want to proactively invest in opportunities for growth that will not only help us retain our people, but also attract new talent to Bupa.”
More than 12,000 Bupa APAC employees can now access Campus online, with current learning and development programs to be integrated into the program over time. While initial learning pathways will focus on the basics about Bupa, leadership, the future of healthcare and specialist skills such as AI, Digital, and Data, additional global and local offerings will grow over time.
“No matter where our people are located, they will benefit from Campus offerings. The physical space is designed to foster collaboration and enable everyone to participate equally, with technology used to deliver the same level of learning, whether you’re in the room or online,” Mr Nolan said.
“We’re focused on setting a new, modern standard for learning and development that will grow the skills of our people, to deliver better care for our customers. We know when our people thrive, so does the care we provide.
“We have a strong purpose to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives and make a better world, we know our people are the driving force behind delivering on that for our customers,” he added.
About Bupa Campus Melbourne
Our APAC Bupa Campus has been built with sustainability, accessibility, and inclusion at its heart.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:
