Swarovski Created Diamonds Unveils the Octagon Collection
SWAROVSKI
June 3rd, 2025 – Swarovski announces the launch of the Octagon, a new Swarovski Created Diamonds collection centering around a proprietary cut by the same name that represents the culmination of 130 years of innovation and limitless creativity.
Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert has designed the Octagon Collection around this new proprietary cut, which takes its shape from the House logo, brought to life under her direction in 2021. The collection highlights the beauty of Swarovski’s signature octagon frame while celebrating its heritage, mastery of light, and infinite savoir-faire.
“I designed the Octagon Collection as a contemporary homage to timeless fine jewellery, celebrating the beauty of the cut itself. This is the first time Swarovski has created its own proprietary diamond cut, and it felt important to give the Octagon its moment.
The cut is a smoother, more elongated take on the traditional octagon. It’s bold and strong, yet feminine, timeless, and subtly edgy. For this collection, I wanted the design to be simple and pure, allowing the brilliance of the diamond and the elegance of the shape to truly be the centre of attention,” comments Engelbert.
Each Octagon cut is a testament to Swarovski’s unrivalled savoir-faire, featuring 57 facets: 32 on the pavilion, 24 on the crown, and one on the table. Expertly crafted, the faceting includes a step cut on the crown and a princess cut on the pavilion.
From design to production, a thousand different cut variations were evaluated during the creation of the Octagon cut, with the final combination found to offer the best possible light-return. The result is a cut that is more brilliant than a standard emerald or baguette cut and serves as a perfect reflection of Swarovski’s House codes.
The Octagon Collection offers a complete range including pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings, each featuring bezel set Octagon cut laboratory grown diamonds. This highly curated fine jewellery collection combines IGI (International Gemological Institute) certified laboratory grown diamonds, which are 100% identical to mined diamonds in every way but origin, and precious metals in pieces designed to stand the test of time.
A new chapter in Swarovski savoir-faire, the Octagon cut, and its namesake fine jewellery collection, balances the timeless elegance of laboratory grown diamonds with distinctive designs to shine a light on life’s defining moments—from celebrations and achievements to personal joys and proposals of forever.
