Sydney Christmas kicks-off tonight

City of Sydney

WHAT:      The City of Sydney’s Christmas program kicks-off tonight including the lighting of 2 Christmas trees.

Santa’s Elves arrive

Trumpet Fanfare on balcony of Customs House to herald arrival of Santa and Lord Mayor, and light the Christmas tree

8:05pm:

Santa and Lord Mayor depart in sleigh, making way along Pitt Street to Martin Place, led by an 80-piece marching band and elves on tricycle reindeers

Martin Place Christmas Markets transform the precinct into a sparkling festive wonderland

6:30pm–8:15pm:

DJ spinning retro and Christmas favourites

Roving entertainment throughout Martin Place

Performance by Ettingshausens Dance Studio cheer squad

8:20pm:

Performance by NSW Public Schools Millennium Marching Band

Santa's sleigh arrives at Martin Place

Lighting of the Martin Place Christmas Tree – 25m tall, 800 branches, 15,000 native Australian flowers, 330 baubles, 110,000 LEDs, 3.5m star
