Collaboration sits at the heart of Gold Access, the premium membership offering from Collabor8Women, and that spirit was on show at its inaugural Founding Members event in Circular Quay, where Joval Wines partnered with the network through its acclaimed Tar & Roses brand.

Collabor8Women is a Sydney-founded professional women’s networking collective known for curated business events, meaningful introductions and a strong focus on connection, visibility and commercial opportunity. Gold Access is its premium evolution, designed to deepen relationships, unlock partner benefits and create more intentional business opportunities for women.

Joval Wines has partnered with Collabor8Women for 2026, with Tar & Roses winemaker Narelle King the first featured female leader to be showcased through the Gold Access membership. Throughout the year, the partnership will also spotlight other leading women from the Joval portfolio at selected Gold Access events, reflecting a shared commitment to championing expertise, excellence and women in business.

At the recent event, King showcased a selection of Tar & Roses wines, including its acclaimed 2025 Pinot Grigio, the flagship of the range. Guests enjoyed King’s wines while enjoying an intimate evening and performance by acclaimed international classical pianist Ambre Hammond and canapes with native ingredients by chef Sharon Winsor, founder of Indigiearth.

King’s winemaking journey began with a dramatic career shift. After starting out in corporate accounting, a pivotal trip through South America, and a chance meeting with a winemaker, changed her direction entirely. She returned to Australia, studied wine science at Charles Sturt University, and went on to build a respected career in the industry. That was more than 25 years ago. King believes that trust, detail and collaboration are critical to long-term business success.

“Tar & Roses and Collabor8Women share a genuine belief that teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of any successful business,” said King. “In our world, everyone has a part to play, from growers and winemaking through to sales and marketing, and that trust across the business is what makes success possible.

“Wine is a crowded market, and success does not happen overnight. It has been a long-term commitment built on attention to detail, trust and bringing people along with you. That is why partnerships like this matter. They create the right environment for people to connect over something of quality and substance.”

According to Collabor8Women Co-Founders Karen Eck and Samantha Theron, Gold Access connects businesses and brands with its ever-evolving network of professional women, helping extend the reach of Tar & Roses.

“This partnership is about aligning with brands and people who share our values and belief in the commercial power of trusted connection,” said Theron.

“We are drawn to partners like Joval who care deeply about quality, integrity and the experience they create for others. That generosity, combined with genuine professionalism, feels strongly aligned with the Collabor8Women community. We are pleased this partnership will help put Joval, and its many talented women in wine, in the spotlight,” said Eck.

Bree Richmond, Marketing Director Joval Wines, said: “We are delighted to partner with Collabor8Women Gold Access and look forward to showcasing more of our beautiful wines across the year. For Joval Wines, the partnership places leading female talent and premium wine experiences in front of a highly engaged professional audience.”
