Tour d'Horse - The Race at Walking Pace - Crosses the Finish Line in Scone

After an extraordinary journey across the stunning terrain of the Hunter Valley - from the historic Belltrees property, through winding trails, and countless moments of bravery and strength - the 2025 Tour d’Horse finished in spectacular fashion down the iconic final straight at the Scone racetrack.

Riders, horses, and support crews were welcomed by cheers and emotion as they crossed the finish line, completing a one-of-a-kind endurance ride in support of the KIDS Foundation.

The tour has raised over $1 million, a record-breaking total that will directly support children and families living with the long-term impacts of trauma and injury, while also expanding education and wellbeing programs in preschools across the country.

Integral to this journey were the incredible Off The Track (OTT) horses, many of whom transitioned from racing careers to become loyal partners in this meaningful challenge.
Their strength, grace, and quiet determination mirrored the spirit of the children the KIDS Foundation supports.

“What a finish. To come down the racetrack and see what we’ve achieved together is just incredible,” said KIDS Foundation Founder & CEO, Susie O’Neill. “This ride wasn’t just about distance that the riders and their horses covered over the seven days, it was all about heart, resilience, and changing lives together.”

This year’s Tour d’Horse has not only raised vital funds, but brought together communities, shared powerful stories, and sparked conversations about recovery, strength, and the healing bond between people and horses.

The KIDS Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to all riders, supporters, donors, and sponsors who made this tour possible. Together, we’ve ridden for something far greater than ourselves.

The ride may be over, but the impact is only just beginning.

The KIDS Foundation can now reach over 300,000 children with vital safety education and support programs across Australia.
