VISION OPPORTUNITY: Projections on Sydney Town Hall mark the start of NAIDOC Week

City of Sydney

WHAT:            Projections on Sydney Town Hall mark the start of NAIDOC Week.

See Sydney Town Hall transformed by bold artworks from Studio Gilay, celebrating NAIDOC Week.

Through abstract animation, symbolism and striking First Nations design, the projections highlight a number of key moments in history and reimagine the landmark as a living timeline of culture, resilience and achievement.

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

The 50 Years of Deadly projections are written and directed by Isaiah Stewart, a Kuku Yalanji and Wemba Wemba man living on Gadigal land.

DATE:             Sunday 5 July

TIME:            6pm

WHERE:         Sydney Town Hall

The projections will run from 6pm to midnight Sunday 5 to Sunday 19 July.
