GOOLWA, South Australia - Friday 4 September 2026 – Bianca Adler has stood on top of the world, but today Bianca Adler discovered you don't need to be at 8,849 metres to test your limits.
Australia's youngest Australian to summit Mount Everest has completed her first-ever 50km Coastrek challenge, walking from Parsons Beach to Goolwa along the spectacular Fleurieu Peninsula coastline in a single day.

Adler has faced some of the world's most extreme conditions on Everest but she says 50 kilometres in a single day was a completely different kind of test.
"Everest was physically brutal, but 50 kilometres in a single day is a very different kind of challenge. There's no altitude, no oxygen problem, you just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other for hours," Bianca said.
"I got to around 35 kilometres and thought, 'Wow, this is really tough.' But that's exactly why I wanted to do it. You don't discover what you're capable of when everything is easy. The tough moments show you what you’re capable of."
It's a philosophy Adler applies well beyond the trail. She's a believer in deliberately choosing discomfort - not to prove anything, but because of what it unlocks.
"There is so much value in choosing discomfort. Every time I've done something that scared me or felt out of reach, I've realised I'm so much stronger and more capable than I thought. Then you start thinking, 'If I can do that, what else can I do?'"
Trekking in her now-signature pink tutu against the dramatic backdrop of the Fleurieu's coastal cliffs, Adler used today's challenge to champion something far simpler than an Everest summit: the power of nature, movement and human connection to support mental wellbeing.
"I had so many amazing people around me today. That's what makes Coastrek special - you look around and realise nobody is doing this alone," Bianca added.
Coastrek Founder Di Westaway OAM said Adler's willingness to take on a completely new challenge was what made her the perfect Coastrek Ambassador.
"Bianca has already achieved the extraordinary, but today she was just like hundreds of other Coastrekkers taking on something completely new for the first time. That's what makes her such an incredible role model."
