Scrapping siblings, pelicans in the park and a sightseeing seagull are among the images shortlisted for this year’s Little Sydney Lives competition.

The City of Sydney photography competition received 360 entries from children aged 5 to 12 years who shared their unique take on life in the harbour city.

Pictures of family life, sport, play and more were reviewed by our judging panel of professional photographers who selected this year’s finalists.

The images will be exhibited on level 2 of Customs House, Circular Quay from 31 July.

The finalists and their stories can also be viewed in our online Little Sydney Lives exhibition.

The exhibition of finalists is run alongside the Australian Life competition as part of the City of Sydney’s Art & About program.

Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore AO said Little Sydney Lives is one of her favourite events of the year.

“It is such a delight to see the city through the eyes of these budding photographers,” the Lord Mayor said.
